The GEP will only use proven, reliable and environmentally safe power technology with recognised engineering designers and plant operators based on similar existing plants already operating throughout the world.  Such plants have been proven as safe with minimal environmental impacts.  The power plant will conform to the highest global air pollution standards including exceeding all US EPA and EU regulations for waste-to-energy plants.

 

The GEP will use boilers and specialized grates proven in use with handling solid municipal waste and biomass fuels. It will be modular in design so additional capacity can be easily added. It will utilize air cooled condensers with reduced water requirements and the buildings will be enclosed to reduce odour while keeping fuel dry.
